"The Web Client service allows applications to access documents on the Internet"  Most people never use this feature.
 
If you are paranoid You can safely disable  the web client service in contol panel/administrative tools/Services,   stretch the window out and scroll down to "web client", double click it and hit the stop button, now drop the "start up type" box down and select "disable" then OK. reboot.

I guess I am the paranoid type...
 
Since I have True IMage,  I just reinstalled system from a previous image. I had another minor (very minor) system abnormality, and TI is so easy....
 
Thanks for your reply - if it happens again, are you saying there is o way just to delete that entry in the Web Client Network?
