unwanted auto dial up
My modem keeps dialing up the internet connection by itself. How do I stop this? Thanks.

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forums,
To disable the AutoDial feature in Windows XP, perform the following steps:
Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
Click Performance and Maintenance.
Click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Services.
Under the Name column, double-click Remote Access Auto Connection Manager.
Click Stop to shut down the service, and then click to set the Startup type to Disabled.
Click OK to complete this process.
