Once the drivers are downloaded and you can see the wireless card in device manager, I suggest you configure the wireless connection on your system. Please follow the steps below:
1. Click Start and Control Panel. 2. Select Network & Sharing Center. 3. Click on Connect to a Network and select the network you are using.( Refer to the snapshot below)
I downloaded and unzipped the driver I mentioned above as it is the only intel wireless driver available for my dell laptop, but it is still not available under device manager-network adapters. Only two bluetooth options and a broadcom network option.
Thanks for the reply. The broadcom drivers you are referring to is for the LAN connection. Please let me know if you see any yelloq question mark or yellow exclamation mark under Other Devices and it shows as Network Controller?
If it doesnt show, I suggest you to check the status of wireless card in BIOS. When you restart the system keep tapping F2 key, once you are in the BIOS screen select Wireless option and check the wireless card status. If it is Off turn it On.Please refer to the snapshot below:
The yellow exclamation mark in network controller signifies that the drivers for the wireless is not installed.
I suggest you to download the drivers from Dell's support site. Use the link : http://dell.to/QRV6Pk
Insert the system Service Tag and select the Operating System. Choose the Network option and select the WLAN drivers and install it on the system. Restart the sytsem and check if the issue is resolved.

Priyanka,
You asked,"Please let me know if you see any yelloq question mark or yellow exclamation mark under Other Devices and it shows as Network Controller?"
Yes, under other devices there are 4 yellow !'s-next to 3 base system devices and 1 network controller.
Please advise.
Many thanks.
