User specific internet connection problem
I have a strange problem with my XP Home networking. I have 2 users one created during XP setup and the other later. All of a sudden ONLY the original user created during the setup CAN access the internet. The other user, guest acct, and all other test users created thereafter CANNOT browse the internet. For all these users however the network connection, both wireless and LAN are active, and can see the other computer connected to the same router. When I open netscape for these affected users the status bar says - "trying to resolve www.something.com" and then a alert box pops up saying site cannot be found. Here are the things I tried:
1. Connected to another network outside home. No luck. That rules out any problem with my router router. Also the all the XP users on the other computer can browse the net.
2. Re installed all netwotk drivers.
3. Tried both IE & Netscape
4. Created new users with Admin priv.
I am at a total loss. any help would be immensely appreciated.

can you hit web sites using the IP address?
type is IP adress in to the address bar of the browser 216.109.118.72.
If the Yahoo main page loads then maybe your DHCP is down.
Can you ping outside of your network when logged in as one of the affected users?
