vcr to modem ?
What do i need to hook up a vcr to my dimension 8400 do they make a usb cable that hooks up to a vcr if so what it call thanks anyone

This is not a "modem" issue.
If you want to connect a VCR to the PC, you will need an interface unit that will accept both video and audio. There are USB connected devices available such as the "DVD Xpress" unit (what I have). There are also PCI connected devices that plug into the PCI slot on your PC. You will also need the support software for the video connection.
The "modem" only allows the PC and it's digital data to be converted to analog so it can be transmitted over a standard voice telephjone line (or recieve data from a remote site that was also converted to analog and then the modem will convert the analog to digital so your PC can use it).
