Question

I have verizon DSL and have been trying to get a NetGear wgt624 to work with a westell 6100 modem box. It won't put out a signal. Anyone trying to run or currently running this setup? I have a Dell 9100 and an HP wireless Laptop that I wanna sent the signal to. I know this is not a Dell type question but I thought that someone may have an idea for me. The internet works when I have a ethernet cable run from the Westell box to the CPU but when I add the Netgear router to the mix the Signal won't even run to the cpu. I have no idea why not. I was thinking about exchanging it at the store. I wonder if it's defective. Any ideas? Thanks!! M-

I've installed several wired and wireless home lan systems.

In every system, the router software supplied by the router vendor must be installed - both on every PC and also installed and configured on the router (through the "master" PC that is directly wired into the router).

If you haven't done the software installs, that is probably your problem (that or a bad cable).
