W2000 Ethernet driver

Question

Dimension XPS R400 purchased with W98 installed. W98 stopped working and could not reinstall. Installed W2000 but driver for Ethernet Controller not installed.  Don't know what ethernet hardware is installed. Used another PC to connect to Dell site, typed in Service Tag to find that I have a 3Com 3c90x Ethernet Controller. Downloaded zip file of drivers and copied to the XPS R400.  Not obvious which driver is the correct one so tried all that had 3C90 in the decription.  None of them worked. Can anyone help?

More than likely, if you can find the driver for XP, it should also work for 2000 machines.

Unfortunately, the download area doesn't offer any drivers to download for XP Can't understand why it's so complicated to get hold of suitable driver! Service tag Q0H41.  Any chance of help from Dell?
