I have not tried WOL on that machine, but the BIOS has options that seem to indicate that it can. I have got WOL to work on the D3000, which is pretty similar.

WOL seems to be problematic. I got it to work on a variety of Dells. However, there always seemed to be something that didn't work quite right on each one.

Do you have the program to generate the magic packet? Did you set the NIC to properly wake on the desired events (e.g. magic packet)?

Go to the NIC device in the device manager and look for the appropriate options. For mine, there is a Power tab, but yours might be different.

If you want to wake from Off or Hibernate states, make sure to set Low Power Mode (Off) correctly in the BIOS. (Low Power Mode: When Low Power Mode is selected, remote wakeup events no longer power up from Hibernate or Off.)

You need to download a magic packet program. I found one without too much effort when I was looking for these things.

Hi thanks

i go to NIC in device Manager and i found a tab Name power managment
and tne NIC model is

Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection

and i see is cheked:
1.Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
2.Allow this divice to bring the computer out stanby (not check)
only allow management stations to bring the computer out of standby (Not chek)

I chek the second one,

What is the Magic pocket software do you mean a Wake on lan Software?

The magic packet software sends the "magic packet" that causes the NIC to wake the machine. Here is one version. I haven't tried this one.
