Webbrowser don't display colors
Hi, this problem was mentioned before, but when I followed the advise of how to resolve it (e.g. resetting browser settings, deleting search history,...), it didn't help:
I just got my new XPS m140 two weeks ago, and from the beginning on when I used Internet Explorer the background colors weren't displayed (which sometimes doesn't let me see buttons or graphics as well). Also, the whole format of the website is disarranged, and even when I change the text size in the "view" tab to "smallest", it's still way too large (looks like Arial 20 or 24).
I downloaded Firefox, and the text size and the formatting are fine, but there is still the problem with the background color and the display of buttons/some graphics. (One example for the missing display of graphics: My email website usually tells me how much storage space I have left, and it shows this with a colored bar; I can neither see the bar nor the colors; also, it shows me the folders and the # of messages in a table, but the table grid lines are not visible.)
Does anyone know how to deal with that?
Thanks for any help!

Another example is http://web.lesley.edu/default.asp Usually there is a picture on a grey background (as far as I remember). All I can see is a white website with blue links on the left side.
I hope my descriptions are not too confusing...
Thanks for any help!!

I actually just tried it out with powerpoint, and found out that I have the same problem there - I cannot see the color when I fill an object; when I use color schemes or design templates, the slide still appears white. On the other hand, when I use the slide-show view instead of the "normal view", I can see all the colors that I added. So it really seems that it has to do with the computer or screen settings, not the browser settings, I just have absolutely no clue what I could change...

Is it a Dell flat panel monitor?
If so, I assume the special software for the flat panel is installed.
With ours (which can pivot) there is special FP software (blue CD) which may need to be installed separately.
