What is required for Wireless Connection
This will sound fairly lame but I'm a little vague with PC's even though I have a new laptop. I have a Domension 2400 (old I know but it does the job) which is my primary internet connection (ADSL). I have just purchased an Inspiron 1520 all network enabled etc.
I would like to set up my 2400 and 1520 for wireless internet and understand I need to have a wireless adaptor for the 2400 so that it can connect to the appropriate modem. In a nutshell, what hardware do I need to get the two PC's up and running for wireless internet. I guess most of the work will revolve around the 2400.
Thanks.

First you need to make sure that your current dsl modem can connect by ethernet. If it is a USB only modem, it will not be able to connect to a router. Next you need a wireless router. All wireless routers have 4 ethernet ports that will allow you to connect up to 4 computers to the router by wired ethernet and many more by wireless. If your 2400 is located within a convenient distance to the router which connects to the modem, then you will not need a wireless adapter for that as you can continue to connect by wire. The new laptop will connect to the router and thus the internet by wireless.
