What modem do I have?

Hi -   I have purchased a 2nd hand L400 which has an internal modem, but the drivers were wiped during a new install of Win98. How do I find out what the modem is to load new drivers please!!   Thanks Am.

Hi, Try the Dell down-load site. The modems in these were a one-off.                                                                   Regards Chris

Thanks -   I have looked at these and have tried one, but this didn't work - is there a way I can tell what the modem is so I can match it to the correct driver?

Hi, The modem is listed as ' Actiontek 56k LT Winmodem ' It should be the same as a Latitude LS. If you have the right drivers and they wont load, it may be faulty, did you load any chipset drivers if they are shown ? Was it working before the reload ?                                                                       Regards Chris

look at the tags on the (bottom most likely) that state the components are fcc compliant. its listed on thoes tags.   good luck
