Dell ships with needed software.... What Modem do you have?
If it is the BCM, you needn't use any other software, just turn Modem on Hold (MOH) on (look in Modem Properties or in the Control Panel for Modem on Hold), enable Call Waiting, and go online...
If it is not the BCM, look for Dell Modem on Hold software or BVRP Modem on Hold software, probably (if memory serves me correctly) off the Start Menu in a folder called Phone Tools.
And, kind of a standard warning... MOH works great for some people, but not at all for others... Make sure of the following...
1.) Your ISP is V. 92 and you dial in to their V. 92 phone numbers (my ISP has about 12 local #'s, but only four a re V. 92)
2.) Your ISP supports Modem on Hold (just because it is V. 92 does not mean it'll support MOH) - and for how long the MOH lasts per call (my ISP boots me if I talk longer than four minutes, low I know, but long enough for a quick conversation or message - much better than no MOH)
3.) You have not disabled call waiting in your dialing properties (some ISP software does this by default so incoming calls do not cause you to lose your connection
4.) I have much better sound quality with a corded phone for the MOH calls.... Can't explain why, but with cordless (at least on my two Dell's), the volume during a MOH call is very low....
My modem is a Conexant HSF V92 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI Modem (COM3)
I have found the phone tools in the start menu programs. The phone tools seems to be only a BVPP answering machine. I do not see any dell modem on hold or BVPP modem on hold software or any buttons suggesting to be able to take calls.
Also my isp supports modem on hold v92 technology for sure plus I have disabled call waiting just now.
I have a Conexant HSF V92 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI Modem and my ISP is Bellsouth as well. You need a copy of NetWaiting to use MOH with this modem. Mine works fine with Bellsouth and NetWaiting.

That is what mine is and I don't know which drivers I am supposed to be using now since I did a format and upgraded to XP from ME.........using the Dell disks sent to me........ Can I intall the same drivers from the me disc? The upgrade sight is not specific and doesn't tell me anything really..... xp gave me a generic driver!

Good luck - hope this helps a little.
