Well, your laptop doesn't support PCMCIA cards. So, guess you'll have to go with the USB?

Interesting as it has a pcmcia slot. So it must support some of pcmcia card.
But I can understand that it wouldn't support a broadband card.

It is not a pcmcia card slot. It is an express card slot. pcmcia cards will not fit.
