Folks,
This is my 1st post on this community. Expecting some good responses from you guys!!!
Just bought a Dell Studio with Win 7.
i know a lot of new web browsers have come up recently. i have used IE in past. i need to know which browser is the best in terms of speed, downloads, tabbed features, toolbars, any additional features etc.
also which browsers are supported by Windows 7?
thanks in advance.

Hope you're liking Win 7 as I've had pretty good luck with it. Just about anything written for Vista will run under Win 7 but I'm sure there are some exceptions out there. Personally, I use Firefox for almost all of my browsing, with the exception of a few sites that just don't play well with it, and have had no issues. I've also used Google Chrome a bit, but it doesn't have as many option and features as Firefox but it definitely seems to be faster loading web sites and such.
Both Firefox and Chrome should be a bit more secure than IE so I'd also recommend either for that reason as well. Both support tabbed browsing. If you're referring to file download speeds, that really depends on the speed of your Internet connection and I don't use 3rd party toolbars so I can't comment on those either.
Good luck!

Hi Short_Bus,
thx for ur reply...i have also used Chrome a bit when they launched the Beta version and felt tht it hs less features...plus it hs the disadv. of not offering a choice for saving downloaded files in preferred locations...all downloaded files get saved by default in the 'download files folder'.
do you have any idea abt how good or bad is Opera?

You will find Firefox crashing less then IE8.

I actually haven't tried Opera yet as I've been happy with Firefox but it always seems to get good reviews.
