WI-FI ISSUES WITH VISTA?!

I have purchased an XPS M1710 back in August and am still waitng for it now in the first week of October :( I'm hoping that due to the fact i ordered it with Vista i won't ahve the same problems a friend of mine is having with his Sony Vaio Fx11 series laptop where for no reason at all the Wi-Fi will just stop working and the laptop needs to be restarted to turn the Wi-Fi back on, even using the W-Fi on/off switch with out rebooting does not work! He upgraded to Vista Ultimate and still the same problem.

 

Has anyone experienced these issues with the Dell XPS Laptops and Vista?
