Wi-Fi Problem
Hi
When I first switch on my Laptop there is always a yellow exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi icon when windows is loaded , I click on the icon and it is telling me that I am online , but off course with a exclamation mark I can not get on the web , what I have to do every time is to restart then the exclamation mark goes and I am able to log onto the web .

Hi Spike,
What happens if you let your system, on the initial start up, sit for a minute or so? Does the system eventually fully connect to your router and allow you online? It could simply be that your router and wireless card need time to authenticate and allow you to connect.
What happens if you take any security settings off your router? (make sure you put them back after testing). Does that change the behavior at all?
And for that matter, does this happen on all wireless networks or just one? Have you tested it on free networks such as at a coffee shop? (Start it up from being totally shut down and see what happens)
If it is just your home network have you rebooted the router to make sure it's fully up and running? What about the firmware on the router? Have you updated that firmware lately? That may help resolve the slow connection speeds.
Let me know the answers to the above questions, and if nothing helps I'll see what else I can suggest that you try.

I have the same problem with my Inspiron One 2020 after the latest Windows 10 Update (version 1511). The Wifi driver seems to have a connection problem (connected to the router, but no internet access) after resuming from sleep. After troubleshooting the connection, the troubleshooting app says that my wifi adapter is missing a protocol. If I disable the driver (in device manager) and re-enable it, it works correctly again until the next time that the computer sleeps and resumes.

Hi,
That could simply be a power setting either in Windows or in your wireless card itself. The card is being powered down too much when in sleep mode and isn't correctly powering back up when the system is brought back up.
Easiest way to check is to go to Device Manager, right click on the wireless card and select properties. You don't list which wireless card you have but normally under an Advanced tab in the driver it will allow you to change the power settings. If that doesn't work you may want to look at the power settings for Windows 10 and what it is doing when it puts the system to sleep. Change the power settings specific to the wireless card if you can and see if that helps.
Let us know how it goes.
