the wireless is handled by the basic XP WiFi Network Connection thing - when i first got the computer it was using the Intel PROSet/Wireless, but i changed it back to windows, it was just easier for me. However - of note is that the wifi was working FINE with autoconnect after i changed that, so it wasn't that change that made it stop working.
Make sure the Windows Wireless Zero configuration is set to start automatically. Go to Start > Run and type services.msc. Find the Wireless Zero Configuration, double click it and make sure it is started and set ot start automatically.
