WIFI connectivity
I have both Microsoft Virtual WIFI Miniport Adapter and an Intel WIFI Link 5300 AGN. Can I connect with both simultaneously over my cable modem home wireless network. And would that be beneficial or a waste of effort?

No, you cannot bridge the two. You would need a separate internet connection that has a different IP address. Even then, your download speeds would still be largel;y determined by the speed of the server you connect to. Most servers limit speeds to each connection so that one connection cannot "hog" all the bandwidth.
