To start the radio, Fn and F2 together ?
What is managing the wireless? Is it Windows? Is it special (proprietary) software?
Are you at a business office?
Home?
Does your wireless use WEP (encryption, security)

Use Device Manager | network adapter(s) | click "Configure"
Look at the Power settings and make sure you CLEAR the checkbox 'Allow to turn off the power' (to save energy).
Also, if you have any carry-around phone(s) then try using channel on the edge for your WiFi, either 11 or 1
Before your notebook (wireless) stopped working, did you take it somewhere else and hook it up to wireless there (travel)?
If so, what had to be done to make it work there?

i setup the router on notebook, but my desktop and internet didn't work with the router.but i look up www.linksys.com and router was't working. i put away the notebook take it out maybe two.
Which SSID entries show up in 'Show all wireless networks'?
showing: nothing, 0, na-na
What happens with each when you click on it and then click Connect ?

i have linksys wireless router with special software. And desktop from Dell

i fix it. it is Windows XP pack 2. it is Wireless Zero Configuration service
