WiFi issue ...
Hi,
Good Morning Fellas!
I have been facing really strange issues. I have Dell Inspiron 1525 (my personal laptop - purchased in 2008) and office laptop - Dell Lattitude 620.
My person laptop cannot stay connected to my home WiFi connection. It looses the connection after every 5-10 minutes (randomly no specific interval) but my office laptop works smoooth as silk, never gets disconnected. So I concluded that it was my laptop which has the problem. But then I took my latop to my friend's place and there my personal Laptop was working fine. It got never disconnected from the WiFi.
So I am not really able to nail down the issue whether its my home WiFi or my Laptop.
Any Help/advise would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
~ Tatya

Tatya,
Try running Finding System Information remove your product ID and post the rest of the information back here.
What type of security are you using in your wireless router? What channel?

Tatya,
I flunked Mind Reading 101 so I usually ask for Finding Sytem Information to make the information easier.
Do you know what wireless adapter you have installed? What operating system is installed on the computer? 32-bit or 64-bit?
Did you try How to login to your wireless router and use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11.
Did you also try How to repair a connection?

"ERROR: Generic failure."
please can you advise on this.
About your second question, once I am home I will share more details in the eveing. ( I had asked my wife to generate the system information. )
