Try installing the latest drivers from the Intel web site.

I have replaced faulty MiniPCI on my Dell 9300 with
Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 Mini PCI 802.11g MiniPCI purchaced from eBay.
Installed 10.5.2.0 drivers from Intel and still have same WiFi indicator blinking problem.
Any suggestion??? Looks like Wireless Connection works though despite the blinking problem.

In fact I've noted that the driver version In Device Manager is not
10.5.3.0  or
11.1.0.0   that I've also trtied to intall as well but the
  9.0.4.33
No idea why it is not reflecting the driver version that I am installing.

Sorry, meant to mention that I too am having the blinking indicator light, however the card the the stock one that came with this laptop (XPS m140). Has anyone come up with what the possible cause could be?

Its the most up to date driver that intel has for the 2200BG. I have one as well and at first I was confused but if you look at the description for the drivers included in the download, that is the one for the card.

Actually I did a little research and looks like it is an advantage not the problem.
Blinking light indicate received packages like a hard drive indicator do its blinking when it is doing something.
I picked up this info from.

That is possible. I have only noticed this issue recently however, hence my curiosity as to why it is happening.
