WIFI on a D620
I have a laptop just configured with XP SP3 and the wifi works fine, except at the users house on a linksys router, hosted by comcast. The unit can not see the router right next to it and the wifi can see several other routers in the area. We tryed to use the microsoft install wifi driver with the same problem! My question is can the router be blocking my laptop out? Laptopis a G device and the router is an N device but works with another laptop in the house.
The difference could be the incription used laptop uses 128 and the router is set to 64????

paikain,
I would first try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in your wireless router. I use channel 11.
If you recently installed the operating system, did you install the notebook system utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
If you could run the Finding System Information Tool and post the rest of the information back here. Maybe it will give a clue to the connection problem.
