wifi slowdown
I recently updated to windows 10 from 8.1 and my wifi speed dropped from 36 to about 22mb. All the drivers, etc have been updated. Is there anything else that can be done or do we live with it until there is a fix.

Hi,
Trying to figure out why wireless networks produce different speeds is tricky, but one important thing to remember is that communication requires both a sender and a receiver. You updated your system and it's drivers but did you update the router that you're connecting to as well?
Some routers need to have their firmware updated to handle the newer drivers and protocols from Windows 10. Check with either your ISP (if they provided the router), check your documentation that you received with your router on how to update it, or simply google the router make & model to find out how to update the firmware. Normally these days it's simply accessing the administration screen of the router and clicking one button to have it check for updates or firmware files.
Here are a couple of Dell support articles that you may find helpful:
Wireless Networking for the Home for Windows 10
Resolving Connection Issues on Your Wi-Fi Network for Windows 10
I hope those links, as well as updating your router's firmware, help you. But if you want more help please let us know the make & model of the Dell laptop you're using, the type of wireless card it has installed in it, and the make & model of the router you're connecting to and we'll see what else we can suggest to help you.

Thanks for your reply Todd. I have the latest firmware for the router and drivers for the card from Dell. After contacting microsoft and sharing my computer, they could find no issue as to why the wifi slowed down from about 37mps to about 22mps. I have since reverted back to 8.1 and the speed went right back to where it was. I am going to wait for awhile and see if this gets fixed before going back to 10. There are a lot of people having this issue. Thanks
