How to Install Drivers in Microsoft® Windows® on Dell Systems If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then use the Bista(or XP) drivers and install them in the Compatibility mode
I had exactly the same problem as you, and I could solve it. Perhaps this procedure can also help you (if you haven't solved it yet). I have just bought a brand new Dell Vostro 3500 and would like to create two partitions on the HD. Thus, I decided to format the HD and reinstall everything from the scratch using the DVDs that came with the product. Everything was fine, except by the wireless network. The wireless light did not turn on, and I was bnable to use it (I could connect to the LAN only with the network cable). As far as I could notice, the only difference between our systems is that I have an Intel video card while you have a NVidia, but I believe that this does not make any difference with respect to the solution of this problem.
This is my current setup:
Model: Dell Vostro 3500 OS: Windows 7 64 bits Professional Memory: 4GB RAM Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
This is more or less the procedure I took:
Step 1) Install the Windows 7 64bits professional. Step 2) Install (from the DVD) the two drivers in the "Chipset Drivers" section. Step 3) Install the video driver (Intel driver in my case, NVidia in yours). Step 4) I went to the Dell support website (in english):
Then I filled the "Service TAG" field with the current service tag found on the bottom of my notebook. After that, I was redirected to the webpage which contained the correct drivers for my computer. Once there, I changed the combobox related to the OS. The default option is "Windows 7 32 bits". I've changed to "Windows 7 64 bits". After that, a list of drivers were shown at the bottom of the page (similar to what appears when you run the drivers DVD that came with the computer). I downloaded all drivers in the Network section. At this point I do not remember exactly the order, but I installed all those network drivers. One of them just failed with a message (the file name of the driver that failed is "DELL_MULTI-DEVICE_A00_R253450.exe"). In fact, I think that the lack of this driver made no difference at all for me in the end, since my computer now seems fully functional :) However, when I installed the file "R270598.exe", then the wireless light turned on, and VOILA !!! I've got the wireless network working!!!!!
I hope this recipe can help you! Let me know if it worked.
Cheers, Christian PS: Excuse for my english also... it is not my native language.
Thanks for the post. The driver that got wireless network working for Dell 3500 vostro on Windows 7 was "Dell Wireless WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card (4313bgn)".

Hello!
I have the same problem with my 3300.
Wifi does not work with drivers on this site.
Eventually, I found some drivers:
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/14644-latest-broadcom-943xx-driver/
I used the last ones.
Now wifi is work.
But I have some problem with windows shutdown ( maybe it is because of this drivers)
Please reply if it is ok for your 3500 or how do you solve? your problem
P.S. well i was a bit upset about dells laptop support.
