Wired Networking Drivers Update -- Intel, Broadcom

Intel and broadcom both have recent driver updates available for XP at least (late feb 2007).  It's been a while for broadcom especially, so grab them if you need them

What’s New in This Release

·        Support for the Intel(R) PRO/1000 PF Quad Port Server Adapter

·        Full support for the Intel(R) PRO/1000 PT Quad Port LP Server Adapter

·        Support for using Intel(R) PROSet to configure iSCSI Boot

·        Support for ANS in Microsoft Windows Vista*

Don't see anything I need, If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Thanks for thinking of others, you will make a fine Lawyer.

The intel release fixes this problem (as did the previous version):  http://lz1.intel.com/psirt/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00006&languageid=en-fr

Just make sure you are patched for it.

Otherwise, as far as I could tell, base100 drivers were not changed for intel compared to the next most recent release but the base1000 were (which is integrated into some dells).

edit:  I also use 7-zip (pick your program of choice) to extract the driver folder from the package.  I don't do anything that actually requires ProSet be installed.
