wired with wireless

Hello, Can I use both a wired router and a wireless router at the same time. I have 2 pc,s that are using a wired router and just bought a laptop with wireless capabilities.Do I need to buy wirless cards for my pcs or is there someway to connect my notebook to my pcs  Help!!

Replace your wired router with a wireless router. It will come with 4 ethernet ports (just like your current router) and will also allow you to connect another 250 computers by wireless. You cannot run 2 routers on the same network. The alternative is to buy a wireless access point, but these days access points are more expensive then routers.

Yes, you can run 2 routers in your network. However, you need to disable DHCP server on the second router which can be found in the router's setup page.

But as the previous poster said, you can just use the wireless router as it already has 4 ports on the back for wired connections.

Thank you for the help. I made a trip to best buy for the wireless router. We'll see what happens tomorrow!!!     Mattawa
