Wireless Adapter not working

Question

The wireless adapter in my laptop is not recognised by the OS. In the device manager, it complains about driver not been installed. I forced it and installed the Dell WLAN MiniCard 1390 driver from the 'Drivers and Utilities CD' given to me, but still it fails to start the device.   My Laptop Model : Latitude D531 Operating System : Windows XP Professional   Could anybody help me on this please?

Try booting into Safe Mode, going into Device Manager, uninstalling the wireless adapter, rebooting to Normal Mode, and reinstalling the drivers for the wireless adapter.   Steve

Thanks for the suggestion Steve. It is resolved once the 'driver' from the dell site was installed.
