Wireless association failing--worked previously

I have a Dell Inspiron 531, Vista Home Premium, 2gb Ram, 802.11g WLAN card (WL-138G_V2).

I have been able to connect to my wireless router fine since November. However, on this past Saturday 1-19-08 I started to get the following message when connecting:

"Wireless association failed because Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or acces point."

My Dell XP laptop connects fine, my bro-in-law's HPvVista laptop connects fine. I did a system restore back a couple of weeks, no help. I uploaded the WLAN drivers from the Dell website, no help. I have looked at this problem online, seen the problem elsewhere but no answers. What is causing this?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I am having the same issue. Just opened my Inspiron 1720 and get the same error message when trying to connect to my wireless router. My ThinkPad connects just fine, so the issue is not the router. ThinkPad OS is XP, but Inspiron has Vista. Is there an issue with Vista?
