wireless card error

I have the integrated truemobile 1150 mini pci card and the client manager says that I have an excellent signal with the wireless network, but it will not actually connect to the network.  Anytime I attempt to connect to it, it gives me an error saying "The control panel applet is not functioning properly or a old version is used."  How do I fix this problem?  I already uninstalled the software and reinstalled, and that did not work.

Hi, I was able to solve the problem, since I spoke with a technician who knew what he was talking about.  Be careful when you speak with them.  If they don't know what they're talking about, they can really screw you up by guessing, then they tell you to reformat because they have caused you more problems than when you began, and don't know how to fix it.  Anyhow, the answer is simply to download the newer version of the client manager from the dell website, which is R43778.exe.  This solves the problem completely.  The error message does not come up anymore.

Good luck

hi John. Tried this driver a milliontimes (at least two). Doesn't solve my problem. Maybe I posted my problem on the wrong place?

Anyhow. This is my problem: In the Client Manager (v. 2.58) I got an excellent signal. In the command prompt the status of the wireless card is cable dissconnected. I'm running static addresses, disabeld the data security (I have tried minimize the sources for errors). The wirelesscard have worked fine for one year but suddenly not anymore, one other box in my wireless network works still very fine. I got a feeling that it is the transmitter in the card that is not working, and I have to replace the card. Preciate any help or tips. But, please not the driver tip again? Just kidding.

Yes John, I am aware of this, however, I was unaware that my problem was simply the version of the client manager.  Had I known this, I would have taken your ingenius advice and not wasted my entire night on the phone with a technician.  Thanks for all your help.
