If you open Network Connections and right click your wireless network connection, what is the first item listed in the menu that comes up? Do you use Windows to manage your wireless networks or the Dell Utility?
I prefer having Windows manage the wireless networks. This is because the Windows utility is very sleek and simple and is much easier to troubleshoot when there are problems. I let the Dell Utility put an icon in the system tray because I the colored bars provide a better visual clue of the quality of the connection, but I don't run the actually utility unless I need to use the diagnostics on the wireless adapter (rare occassion).
Thanks for the response. I ended up just doing a system restore to just before I downloaded the update. Wireless is working fine now. For future reference, is it better to have Windows manage the networks or the Dell utility?
