wireless card problem

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can help me, or has any ideas. I have a dell inspiron 9300 with Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200 (802.11b/g) 54Mbps Mini - PCI Wireless Card. The problem I am having is that two days ago my laptop stopped acknowledging that it even has a wireless card. When I click on the Intel wireless icon, the window opens up with a message "No supported wireless adapters available in the system" It's been working fine for about two years, then on tuesday my computer froze, and when i rebooted the wireless card was 'gone' any help, ideas, advice. much appreciated Tony

possible scenarios
> Wireless adapter is not properly installed in device manager
> wireless is not turned on; try to goto BIOS and enable it from there
   or press FnF2
> or the physical hardware is not seated correctly, try to run diags by
holding Fn key and pressing the power button at the same time.
