Wireless communication

In the specification of my Inspiron 8200 it says under cummunications:

Wireless           internal Mini PCI Wi-Fi(802.11b) wireless support

What does it mean? Do I need a PC-card or adapter to communicate
with my wireless router?

That internal card is the wireless network card (although it is only 802.11b) and thus you don't need another adapter.

To provide a bit more info, it will communicate with any 802.11b/g compliant router, but will only do so at 802.11b (11 Mbps) speeds. If you want 54 Mbps, you'll either need to replace the internal Mini-PCI card or buy a PC Card adapter.
