Wireless Connection B130
Just bought my 3 boys B130's. My one son takes classes online for his AS degree and is unable to get a wireless connection. He has the USB but would like to not be connected to an umbilical. Any suggestions.

The B130 does have a MiniPCI card slot with an internal antennna. Thus, any MiniPCI wireless network card can be installed.

I actually have a B120, but your link appears to cover both models. I accidentally neglected to include the wireless network card in my order. I am well versed in computer hardware, so I found the intended slot for the wireless card you mentioned previously. My question is what do I do about the antenna wires? They do not appear to be present. Is it possible to add the wireless card without the antennaes? I understand that I do need the antennaes, but are they present on a system that originally didn't include the wireless option? If they are not, is it something I can add after the fact?
I have a wireless network card from my previous laptop that died, hence the replacement. The wires are integral to the top panel.

xyz,
Unlike the B130, the B120 has no internal antenna, was never sold as a computer that could have an internal wireless adapter, and cannot be made to do so. The only wireless option currently available for the B120 is a USB wireless network adapter.

I'm a little confused, as I am sitting here looking at my packing slip for my daughter's new laptop, and it says that it is a B120, with a 1370 internal wireless.
When I go to the website, they actually list two B120's for sale, the basic core system without the wireless option, and the B120 that is the basic entry level and has the wireless, so maybe that's something new.

I hope that is the case (two versions available). I ordered the B120 with the wireless option and am awaiting delivery. I hope the range is greater than 6 feet...
Is yours working OK?

I'm now online with techsupport to even see if it has an internal antenna. I will be pretty ticked if it doesn't. My daughter was able to connect at a free wi-fi spot which is a good sign, but I'm having problems with my own router at home. I am going to work on it today. Support is not the greatest, they blame the router and the router blames the computer, so I'm trying to troubleshoot, as I think I configured it wrong. and I had to rewrite this, as I said something besides "not the greatest" , which is ridiculous.

well, using the chat support, the person told me that I DID NOT have a wireless card installed as it's a b120! I said I'M LOOKING AT THE PACKING SLIP, YES I DO"! He rechecked and said that since it came with the card installed, that it would have an internal antenna. It's when people order it separately that the motherboard doesn't have one. So at least that's there, now I just have to figure out what I did wrong configuring it.
It's pretty stupid that they have two units numbered the same. At least you have the 21 days to return it. Mine was a Christmas present, and it was ordered back in November, so I HAVE to get this to work, as it's past the 21 days return time.
