Wireless Connection Dropping

Hi  :smileyhappy:

I've had no problems with my Dell system for more than 2 years.  I have a Dell Wireless 2350 Broadband router, 2 Dell Latitude D810 laptops running Windows XP and built-in wireless cards.  I have had our network up for as long as we've had the computers until 2 days ago.  Our wireless and internet connections will not stay up for any length of time.  I have tried everything from purchasing a new router (didn't make any difference, it had the same problems), upgrading the network drivers, uninstalling and re-installing the router, creating a new network name and nothing is helping.  I am currently hard wired to the Dell router with the modem hard wired to the router as well.  Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem ??  I have 2 Dell computers and both are exhibiting the same problem.  I've been working on this for the past 2 days and I'm about ready to pull my hair out !!  HELP PLEASE !!:smileymad:

Is it possible that the environment changed (i.e. someone adding a 2.4 Ghz cordless phone system in the near vicinity, or someone else installing a router that is using the same channel as yours)?  You might try changing the channel that your router uses to either 1 or 11 and see if that helps.
