i had this thing once - sat for abt 2 - 3 hrs with my laptop - dint work
saw this same thing on my friend's aptop -
all he did was - shut down both devices - reconnected the router/modem and restarted the laptop and internet was there ...
disable IPv6 temporarily to see if that helps :
networka nd sharing center
view network connections
right click on network name ( might be something like local area connection)
clik on properties
uncheck the IPv6 option .
apply and OK
restart all the devices.
see wht happens.do reply also!!!

Don't know what my father did to our router, maybe he told it it would be disposed if it didn't work correctly, but everything seems to work again... Nice! Anyway, I'll keep the Vista-Wireless-problems list, might come in handy next time. Thanks!

Everything did work before (although only after a lot of trying), so I don't think it's got to do with the driver.
