Wireless connection keeps corrupting

My friend has a laptop Inspiron 1300 with an Intel Pro 2915 Internal Wireless  card (802.11 a/b/g) and for some reason the internet can be found and then it can't.  As soon as the computer boots up it finds it but then you check on the connection a second time and it says it is not working and you get the Dreaded "page cannot be displayed".  When I log off it says "Available Networks" will not end and do I wish to end it....everytime. So I am thinking something is "holding" it but I don't know what. I ran the Windows Zero configuration and I ran the winsock xp fix. All are temporary. Anyone have any ideas?

Try changing the channel that the router uses (try channel 1 or 11) to see if you can eliminate any possible interference with other 2.4 Ghz devices.
