Not wirelessly. I haven't tried the ethernet connection or dial-up but I would assume those would work.

Yes, it is running XP and I can get online with another PC. Where would I go to download the drivers and in which directory should I install them?

I've never done a system restore but I could give it a try. Certainly the system worked fine two days ago. I'm not at home now but will try your suggestions when I get there. I really appreciate it. I'll post another note if I'm in over my head!

go here, put in the info and you would need the wifi card info for that system and download it and just double click on the file it will put it where it needs to go.

if you have a restore point set to before your problem started it would be worth a try.

I was unable to do a System Restore. I tried several times going back as far as two weeks ago and each time it was unsuccessful. I just hooked the laptop up to an an ethernet cable and it connected immediately. I went back to Device Manager and this time selected View Hidden Devices and it brought up the "Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN PC card - Packet Scheduler Miniport". I then downloaded the 1350 driver. When I went to open it, it tried to unzip a file but said the file was incomplete. I'm tearing out what little hair I have left!

go in devices and try to uninstall the card and reboot and xp should find the device and install the drivers for you.

If I click VIEW and SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES I can see a "Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN PC Card - Packet Scheduler Miniport". It says it's functioning properly. When I uninstalled it and rebooted it reappeared in the same state but I still don't have Wireless under Network Connections.

I uninstalled the wireless packet scheduler miniport and rebooted. Nothing happened. When I went to Device Manager it was still there as a hidden item, and it says it's functioning properly. Network connections still only show the Local Area connection - No wireless! I appreciate the input. Any other ideas?
