Try downloading and installing the latest drivers from the Intel web site.  Then, go into the Power Management settings on the network card and set them to always supply full power to the wireless network adapter.

Do you have any 2.4 Ghz cordless phones that may be interferring with the 2.4 Ghz wireless network signal?  If so, try setting the router to one of the extreme channesl (1 or 11 in the U.S.)

No, I don't have any 2.4 ghz phones. Could the network connection itself do this?

If you connect to the router by ethernet, does the same problem occur?

Did you at least try changing the channel on the router?  Are you using any kind of encryption on the wireless network?  If so, which type?  If you temporarily disable encryption, does the problem go away?

I have exactly the same problem. My new Inspiron 9400 disconnects after 5-15 minutes if I connect to the wireless networks at my girlfriends apartment. She has an older sybol AP with B. I have no problem connecting to Cisco 1200 AP at different hotspots. In the logg there is something abut a CTA plug in missing. I have been testing whit and without encryption. I ám using the latest drivers and software. But still after a lot of frustrating hours, the problem remains. Any suggestions?

One strange ting I we noticed is that if I start my machine with the power cord disconnected then it will run for an hour before the problem occurs.

Since Herr Nils interrupted the thread and confused things, I'm not sure where we are?  You never answered my question concerning changing the channel and whether or not security features are enabled.  I'm sorry, but when someone interrupts the thread like that, it throws me off and I end up feeling that by continuing to respond to the thread, it will just confuse things more.
