Wireless connection stopped working?
Hello,
I have a Dell INSPIRON 1545 that is running Windows Vista x64. My wireless internet connection unexpectedly stopped working yesterday, and I can't seem to figure out why. At first I suspected my modem/router, but all the other wireless devices in my home work flawlessly. My XBOX that I have connected with an ethernet cable works fine, as does my Dell 1545 laptop (which I am using to write this) when connected with a cable.
I really do not know how to explain the problem, other than I get a yellow warning triangle in the lower RH corner on my network connection. When I double click on it, I get this screen (Network and Sharing Center):
Also, the Device Manger shows a yellow warning triangle on my "isatap" network driver, could that have something to do with it?
I have tried System Restore to a previous date (a week ago) and that got me running last night, but this morning I tried to connect again, and I am having the same problem again.
My next plan of action is to reinstall the network drivers on my machine, and see if that solves it. Anyone else have any other ideas?
Thank you.

Hi,
Well the system restore would fix but then some changes again which causes the problem, i would suggest to check the windows update.
Perform system restore
Temporarily disable automatic windows update.
Monitor for 2days.
Install each update individually and check.
This should take care of the problem

This is a common behaviour with most of the Routers. I would suggest upgrading the router firmware.

Thank you for the reply!
I did as you suggested last night, but no luck restoring the connection that way this time. Shortly after, my other devices stopped working. I reset the modem/router before I went to bed. When I got up this morning, everything seemed to be working ok. So maybe it was just a modem/router issue. I can't figure out why it wouldn't affect the rest of my wireless devices at the same time as my laptop though.
Anyway, hopefully the problem is solved, if not, I will update you.
Thanks again!
