Wireless connection with Dell 2300 router
I have set up the router with a wired connection to my Dell desktop. Everything is working fine there. The problem is with the wireless connection to my new Dell Inspiron 5100. The notebook can detect the network with a signal strength of excellent. The problem is that nothing works; internet, e-mail, etc. I have run the router setup disk and it displays a warning window, " The setup wizard was unable to detect the router. Please click OK to verify your cable connections."
Any help would be appreciated.

Well scratch the previous message. Now nothing works again, even though the signal strength is excellent. ?????
Help?

I have the same symptoms and what works for me is changing the channel on the tm1300 card. I usually have it set at either 3 - 4 Or 11 -13. When I lose connectivity but the signal strength is still their I go from one end to the other i.e. if my channel is set at 3 or 4 I change it to 11, 12 or 13 and vice versa.
It works for me, but you might be experiencing the same symptoms but they r caused by a totally different problem so good luck. Try it out and post back your findings.
Good luck

DDD, Thanks for the help. I am having better luck with the network at this point(was on the web for the last hour and only lost a connection twice), but I also was only 5 feet from my router and always had a signal strength of excellent. I just tried changing the channel to a higher one, hope it works.
Thanks Jim
