Wireless Connection

Inspiron E1505 just got it.  It has a wireless mini card already installed.  When I go somewhere that offers WI-FI do I just go to my aol to connect or what is the way to get connected to their service?  Not very smart in this field yet, but once someone can tell me I'll be alright.

When you are in range of a Wi-Fi hotspot, you can open your network connections [In XP this would be Start >> Connect to >> Show all connections...or from the control panel] right click your wireless network connection, select "View Available Wireless Networks", find the hotspot network and click connect.
