wireless connection

 Hi, at the moment i connect to the internet by a cable connection which i find unsatifactory,

as i have a wireless router as well can i take out the cable connection & use the wireless connection.

i am not up to speed on this subject but do's the wireless connection have to go via the cable modem.

 any help would be appreciated.

If you have a wireless router and it was setup properly, then yes, you can connect to the wireless network.

 

Depending on the system, you need to make sure the wireless adapter is enabled. Some computers press Fn and F2, some F2 and some have a switch.

 

Near the clock, you should see some bars. Left click once. You should see a list of networks. Click on your network. it should ask for the password to log in. Type the correct password and the computer will attempt to connect to the wireless router.

 

If the wireless router was not setup properly, you may have to How to login to your wireless router using the ethernet cable and then try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings
