Wireless Connectivity on my Desktop
I lost my wireless connectivity on my desktop. I have a laptop also but that one is working fine. I have tried working with Netgear and have had no success getting my desktop to connect. Any ideas? Could it be an issue with my wireless antenna? It was loose about the time that I lost my connectivity. I took it off and re-tightened it back on. There was a loose nut. I have a 2010 Studio 8100 XPS. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Power off your ISP modem/router and your wireless router(if any) for 30 seconds. Then power on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, then power on the wireless router(if any)
Restart the computer and try to connect.
What happens?
What virus program and firewall are you using?
Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.

Windows Firewall & Trend Antivirus. I have tried your method several times with no success. When I run Troubleshooting, the messages that I receive are: None of the networks you have previously connected to are in range and a network cable is not properly pluggedin or may be broken.
When I try to connect, I get the message: Windowswas unableto connect to Net gear.

SteveRWI,
Was the Netgear (Model number helpful) setup?
A log I requested would help.
