Wireless connectivity problems

Question

I have  DellM170 laptop computer with an internal wireless card and am using a NetGear wireless router.  I have used the same set-up for over 4 years and now I am having connectivity issues.  I can receive e-mail with no problems, but am unable to connect to internet sites and have trouble sending e-mails.  If they send at all, it takes forever.  My connection strength shows strong, connected at 54 mbps.  I am thinking it has to be an issue with the internal card or the router as our internet connectivity on the desktop is not impacted. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.  Thank you.

what software are you using for sending e-mails ??

Can you use other web sites or is it the issue with just the e-mails ???

If its the issue with the other websites then it's something related with the network but if it is something that is not related to the internet explorer then its got to be something with the software with which you are sending the e-mails.

Have you tried reinstalling the network drivers?  Be sure to check the Dell website for updated drivers, first.
