Apparently no one responded to your post last December describing this problem. I'm amazed at your patience!
Wireless network (802.11 a,b,g) adapters don't come standard with any Dell laptop. They either need to be ordered at the time the system is ordered, or purchased separately afterward. It's possible to purchase an internal (mini-PCI) wireless card, but, as you've discovered, without either an PC wireless card or an internal one, you obtain no wireless (802.11, "Wi-Fi") connectivity. Bluetooth is a different standard, usually used for devices such as headsets, advanced keyboards, and PDAs.
So it sounds in a sense like you've already resolved the problem! If you didn't order the D800 with a wireless adapter, that's the reason there's not one present. If you indeed did order the machine with a Truemobile 1300, 1350, 1400, 1450 or other 802.11 wireless adapter, we'll need to determine whether you actually received it. The best proof of whether it's there or not is to look inside the D800 with the power off, as described in
this section of the D800 service manual.
Please start a new thread. Bluetooth problems are entirely unrelated to 802.11 a/b/g wireless problems. Also, I'm personally not familiar with wireless technology. If you start a new thread, someone who is familiar with Bluetooth may be able to help you.
you look like the person who may be able to help me.have a dell latitude 610(windows pro 2000) and a hp450 blutooth portable printer.can i simply buy a blutooth pc card for this laptop to make the communication from laptop to printer??any help appreciated.
