Wireless cutting out, no ethernet

Question

I did a clean install of XP on my wife's XPS M1210 after the hard drive failed and had to be replaced. I believe I reinstalled the drivers in the correct order, but can't get the wireless or ethernet to work correctly. The Intel Proset icon shows up in taskbar but the options are all gray so you can't click on them. I can see and connect to my wireless network though the standard network connections option, but after a couple minutes the connection fails and I have to reconnect. Plugging in the ethernet cable directly doesn't do anything, I still can only get an intermittent connecting through the wireless. One other thing I forgot to mention, on startup I get an error message saying 'Wireless Management Service has encountered a problem and needs to close.' I read that this program is optional if things are working normally without it, but if they aren't working this could be part of it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Izzy99,

The desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers need to be installed first, or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Install Drivers in Microsoft® Windows® on Dell Systems

I did another fresh install and made sure everything was installed in the right order (the first time I had installed network drivers first, but erased them, obviously that didn't work). Seems to be working now, thanks for the help.
