Wireless Desktop Card
I am moving into a place with a wireless internet setup and I wanted to know what desktop wireless card I should get. I have done a lot of research but each card seems to differ in performance based on computer model and operating system so I would like somebody with mine to give me advice. I have a dell dimension 8300 runnings windows XP which I do lots of gaming and downloading on. I am looking for a strong signal with good range, below $60 would be nice, any takers?

I guess the next question is what band are or will the router be in The most common is "G" but a lot of "N" stuff is being pushed. this can definatly make a difference. Say for example the owner buys a N and all the other users are on N and you have a G then the whole network will run at your G speed when you are connected.
Is this a school or dorm situation?

Nope just a house with roommates. If I had to venture a guess I would say it will be a G router.
I was thinking:

The one you listed is also good but unless the router is a linksys with speedboost in it the speed boost portion will not work.
Generally linksys cards and usb adapters are pretty reliable and give good performance.
