Wireless drops in middle of browsing.

I have a problem, my internet drops it's connection frequently, in the middle of browsing. I have an Inspiron 9300 with an Intel Proset 2200 B/G with a Linksys WRT54G . It says it is connected but the webpages time out continuously or it even says server not found. This problem only occurs when going wireless. I have tried the Fn+F2 to reconnect, but it is only temporary and it will disconnect again in short order. Any solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Do you have any 2.4 Ghz wireless phones in the vicinity that may be interferring with the wireless signal?  If so, change the channel that your router uses to channel 1 or 11 and see if that solves the problem.

Uniden 5.8 Ghz cordless, Linksys 2.4 Ghz router.

Try changing the channel anyway.  There may be devices in the surrounding area that you don't know about, including other wireless networks.

I looked under the connection setting and the ad hoc channel was set at 11 already. However I did adjust the power management to highest performance, and that seems to have worked. Thanks for the help.
