Did you install the drivers for the wireless nework adapter?  Does the wireless adapter show up in Device Manager?  Do you have a wireless router?  Does the wireless adapter show up in Network Properties?

Yes.  The NetGear control panels shows me logged in with WEP to my wireless router and receiving signal.  But no packets are being exchanged.
Does the wireless adapter show up in Device Manager?
Yes.  I also show Local Area Connection 2 using the NetGear Adapter.
Do you have a wireless router?
   Yes.

I don't know what you mean by Network Properties.

First note that when you make a mistake posting a message, you can open the message and select Message Options, then select Edit Message, and continue your writing your message.  You can only do this with you own messages, but it will prevent multiple misposts.

Try disabling encryption until you get this problem solved.

Sorry about that.  Last night, whenver I clicked 'Submit Post', I got the IE 'Cannot display page' error page.  I kept trying, think it was an Internet hiccup.  I finaly bailed out and went back to the message board.  That's when I realized what had happened.  I think the problem was AdSubtract.

Great suggestion.  The problem was the encryption.  Dell router let me use ascii for the key.  NetGear adapter wanted hex.  NetGear had a field call ParaPhase that looked like an ascii key, but was apparently something else.  By entering a hex key in both, I'm in business.  Thanks.
