Wireless internet not working!

My stepmother has enlisted my help in figuring out her internet problem.  She just recently bought an Inspiron notebook, and something is wrong with the wireless internet.  Her connection seems to drop quite often, and lately, the internet isn't working at all.  I bring up Internet Explorer, it takes forever to load, then finally it says, "DONE" in the bottom corner, but nothing has loaded on the page.  It's weird.

I thought it might be the wireless network, but I brought the computer over to my house where I KNOW the network is working, and it still did the same thing.  It said it was connected with excellent strength, and still, nothing would load.  What am I doing wrong?

If I were you I would uninstall the network card driver and re-install it.

I haven't been able to stay online long enough to download another browser.

I have the computer at my house now, trying to connect to my wireless network. It keeps saying it's trying to aquire the network address, then it will lose connectivity for a few seconds, then it says it's trying to acquire the network address again. It keeps doing this. What have I done wrong?

You said it was connected with excellent strength. Have you tried to connect with other browser, like Firefox?
